Oregonian Deems Ardiri a Top Winery with a View

The Oregonian ran a feature story on the “Top 10 Wineries with a View” and Ardiri is honored to have made the list!

Here’s what they had to say…

Árdíri: This winery outside Cornelius in Washington County, on the north side of Chehalem Mountain, has a perfect horseshoe bowl setting. Tree-covered slopes form the horseshoe’s sides to the north and south, a grassy hill connects them on the west. That leaves a wide opening pointed east, across acres of vines and, in the distance, a postcard view of snow-capped Mount Hood.”

“The tasting room was designed for an outdoor experience, with twin window-filled garage doors that roll up to connect the outside with the indoor bar. Sit outside in the open or under cover. If a chill is in the air, snuggle up to three permanent gas fire pits or the fireplace.”

Food & Wine: 7 Luxurious Private Wine Tastings

Food & Wine created a list of 7 wineries that offer a luxurious wine tasting experience and Ardiri was a featured winery.

Here’s what they had to say…

“Ardiri Winery is widely renowned in Oregon for its stunning views—both of its vineyards and of Mount Hood. The tasting flights include 5 wines from Ardiri vineyards in both Willamette Valley and Napa Valley. Wines include a Pinot Gris/Pinot Blanc blend and a selection of Pinot Noirs. In the spring and summer the tastings are outside, while on cooler days they take place inside the winery; guests sit around cozy tables with miniature fire pits built into the center of them. All wines are served with Pecorino Romano cheese. Visit in the spring, and you’ll be able to sample Ardiri’s newly released dessert wine.”

Travel & Leisure: 20 Ideas for the Perfect Romantic Fall Getaway

Travel & Leisure created a feature story on 20 places for a “Romantic Fall Getaway” and the Willamette Valley was one of their selections. Ardiri was included in their recommended itinerary.

“Just 45 minutes from Portland, the Willamette Valley promises exceptional restaurants, hiking trails, hot-air balloon rides, wine tours by helicopter or horse, and scenic countryside for picnics. Among the 300 area wineries, we’re partial to Anne Amie in the rolling hills of the Yamhill-Carlton District and Ardiri Winery, where you can sit fireside and take in views of the Chehalem foothills. After a day of tastings, retreat to The Allison Inn, where you can unwind with a couple’s treatment in the 15,000-square-foot spa complete with landscaped garden terraces and fire pits. You’ll be refreshed in time for dinner at Jory, perhaps a Pacific oyster tasting appetizer with pickled citrus–pink peppercorn mignonette or Chinook salmon and dishes sourced from the hotel’s 1.5-acre vegetable garden—and paired with a vintage from its 800-bottle list.
